August 2011
JRW and Archer Daniels Midland Company of Decatur, Illinois were issued a notice of allowance from the US Patent Office on the second of their patents for LactOil® soy microemulsion. The first LactOil® patent was issued in August 2010 as part of our combined effort to bring microemulsion technology to the environmental industry. LactOil® is a thermodynamically stable formulation designed to offer the user greater product shelf life, ease of mixing and injection, and enhanced aquifer distribution at a product cost competitive with standard emulsified vegetable oil products. LactOil®‘s high percentage fermentable content also saves on both freight and installation costs making it a preferred alternative to more traditional oil substrates. To date, LactOil® has been used on over three dozen sites in the US and Canada.
